Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Jobtie collects, uses, and shares information when you use jobtie.ai and related services (the “Service”).
It is written for real product use: profiles, resumes, job queues, autofill/submit, billing, and Interview AI—not generic filler.
1. Who we are
Jobtie (“Jobtie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website jobtie.ai and related web apps, APIs, and tools that help candidates build application profiles, queue job URLs, autofill or submit applications to supported job boards, and (on eligible plans) use Interview AI for realtime interview assist.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. By using Jobtie, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use the Service, and limited information from third parties (for example payment processors or sign-in providers).
- Account data: email address, password (stored hashed), display name, and authentication tokens if you sign in with a supported provider (such as Google).
- Profile and application content: resume/CV files, work history, education, links (e.g. LinkedIn or portfolio), work-authorization answers, saved Q&A responses, cover-letter text, and other fields you enter so we can fill job forms.
- Job queue and submission data: job URLs you paste, board/provider detection, fill and submit status, error logs, screenshots or DOM snapshots needed to debug form fills (when enabled), and related metadata.
- Interview AI data (when you use it): audio you choose to capture or stream for transcription, transcripts, suggested answers, and session settings. You control when a session is active.
- Billing data: plan selection, subscription status, and payment events. Card numbers are handled by Stripe; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Optional public content: if you enable a public profile or similar opt-in page, the information you choose to publish.
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, feature usage, referrers, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Communications: messages you send us (for example via Discord or email) and related support history.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve Jobtie (accounts, profile storage, autofill, optional auto-submit, Interview AI, billing, and customer support).
- Map your profile and saved answers onto employer application forms you ask us to fill or submit.
- Generate AI-assisted drafts (for example tailored resume text or interview answer suggestions) using the content you supply and job-related context.
- Process payments, prevent fraud, enforce plan limits, and manage subscriptions.
- Send transactional messages (account verification, magic links, password resets, billing receipts, and important service notices).
- Monitor reliability and security, debug failures, and protect against abuse.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
- With your consent where required, send product updates or marketing (you can opt out of non-essential marketing).
4. AI and automated processing
Parts of Jobtie use third-party AI model providers to draft or adapt text, score or map form fields, or assist during interviews. When those features run, relevant portions of your profile, job description text, form fields, transcripts, or prompts may be sent to those providers solely to generate outputs for you.
We configure providers according to available commercial/API terms and do not sell your content as training data. You remain responsible for reviewing AI outputs before submitting them to employers. Do not upload information you are not allowed to share.
5. Job applications and third-party sites
When you queue a job and ask Jobtie to fill or submit an application, we interact with third-party applicant tracking systems and career sites (for example Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, LinkedIn Easy Apply, or others we support) using the credentials, profile data, and files you provide.
Those employers and platforms have their own privacy policies. Jobtie is not responsible for how they collect, use, or retain data once an application is submitted. Review each employer’s notices before applying.
8. Data retention
We retain account, profile, queue, and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Interview session audio/transcripts and detailed debug artifacts may be kept for shorter operational windows unless you keep them for your own history.
You may request deletion of your account as described below. Some residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period, and we may retain limited records where law requires (for example billing records).
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information (including encrypted transport, access controls, and hashed passwords). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can typically:
- Update profile and saved answers in your dashboard.
- Delete uploaded files you no longer need (subject to features that depend on them).
- Disable Interview AI sessions and stop sharing microphone/audio at any time.
- Manage billing through the Stripe customer portal linked from your account.
- Request account deletion or a copy of your data by contacting us (see Contact).
- Opt out of non-essential marketing emails using unsubscribe links where provided.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or similar jurisdictions, our legal bases include contract performance, legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service), consent (where required), and legal obligation. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” as those terms are defined by law. We do not sell personal information for money. To exercise rights, contact us as described below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
11. Children
Jobtie is intended for adults seeking employment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. International transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
